A marketing executive from Devon managed to rack up over £22,620 in debt at Foxy Bingo over the course of 21 months. Rather than come clean about it, Caroline Shopland-Saih, 40, used her company credit card to pay off her online bingo debts, which she was supposed to use to buy vouchers for successful sales reps!

Shopland-Saich has admitted fraud and has been ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work and jailed for 12 months, suspended for two years. The Judge at Exeter Crown Court sympathised with her and accepted her love for bingo online had “spiralled out of control”.

According to her lawyer, Shopland-Saich had felt under “enormous stress” at work and online bingo was her only relief. Clearly, she took it one step too far... Had no one told her about no deposit bingo?
