Still Lots to Offer From Hamilton

Red Bull has taken the F1 title for the second year running.

Congratulations to the team and Sebastian Vettel, who is the youngest driver to have won two World Titles. Despite the fact that the car is by far the best of the bunch, the overall performance of the Red Bull team, strategy, and drivers have surpassed all others. This was reflected in the betting and prices for the FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ & Constructors’ World Championship 2011.

The best bet for Drivers’ World Championship for 2012 is with Sebastian Vettel; and Bet365 agrees with me by having him at evens favourite.

However, I would be fibbing if I didn’t say that my heart was not with Lewis Hamilton. I am hoping that he and the McLaren team can do something extra special to make next year more interesting.

Hamilton has always been in the spotlight, but usually not for winning. For this season he has stood on the podium only 4 times in 15 races, which is his poorest run since starting F1 in 2007. It is precisely for that reason that I know the best is yet to come from him and Jonathan Neale (MD of McLaren) has already confirmed his belief in Hamilton.

However, it seems that bookmakers are still to be convinced, with Bet365 positioning Hamilton third in the betting odds to win the Drivers’ Championship 2012 (Alonzo being second favourite). It may be a good time to stick the free bet you get when registering with Bet365 on Hamilton and see what happens!
