The fate of the online casino could hang in the balance if the US congress passes a law that would allow them to censor the Internet.

Currently members of congress are in talks, debating over whether they can impose a law which would allow the US government to force Internet providers to block any website on suspicion of violating copyright or trademark legislation. They want Internet Service Providers to keep a closer eye on their users activities.

Unfortunately the real money, online casino is still illegal in the US, but it is only a matter of time before new legislation is pushed through to allow certain states such as Nevada, to allow users to play for real money. At the moment in the US, it is only possible for American citizens to play at a no deposit casino. If it ever becomes totally legalized, there is no doubt it would be incredibly successful, as the US is one of the biggest markets in the world, however if the censors continue to block gambling sites then it would cause serious setbacks for the online gambling industry.

Casino games are a form of entertainment like any other and we all agree they should abide by a strict code of conduct, with fair odds and reliable RNG’s alongside secure banking systems. After all, no one wants a repeat of what happened with Full Tilt. However, a worldwide censorship of the Internet is a step too far, for it is the agenda of the censors which we should be most worried about. The Internet for the past 15 years has provided the only uncensored platform for free speech, so add your voice to the masses and fight for your God Given right to play casino games for real money.
