Football according to Tevez

Ever since Tevez entered the English Premier League, we have seen how money, greed and agents can affect football.

West Ham paid a high price for him, Manchester United (and Alex Ferguson) refused to do it and Manchester City is now living the nightmare.

No doubt Carlos Tevez is a highly talented player and has greatly contributed to City’s success last season. But we all have to wonder whether City should have cut their losses and gotten rid of him before this season started. Tevez usually likes to stick around for a year or two at any one club, and this will be his ultimate downfall - especially when he has an ‘adviser’ like Kia Joorabchian.

Tevez’s refusal to play against Bayern Munich and subsequent club fine of a month’s wages (around one million pounds), has now resulted in the striker thinking about suing Manchester City’s manager Roberto Mancini for defamation of character.

Sports betting punters all over the world have surely made some money from Tevez being included in their correct score and first goalscorer bets but I suspect he will be exiting City in the January Transfer Window. My best bet would be Manchester City and Mancini are now ready to let Tevez exit - at whatever the cost....
