If there’s no prospect of a bonus on the horizon at work, then perhaps you need to start looking elsewhere...

The very word bonus fills us full of excitement and adrenalin, because it suggests the prospect of getting something on top of what we already have. A bonus doesn’t necessarily mean money, it could mean an online casino bonus or bonus features on a DVD you’ve just bought, however recently it’s become most associated with the bonuses that Bankers receive.

A certain stigma has become attached to the word “bonus” since the media frenzy surrounding the banking crisis and most people now approach the word with a certain degree of caution. However in the online gaming industry it is still a word that is used liberally on just about every site we play on. I challenge anyone to find an online casino which doesn’t use the word bonus somewhere on it’s site to entice us into playing. If anyone can find me such a site, there will be a bonus in it for your efforts!

Seriously though, the word bonus should be a positive thing that lights up our eyes with hope and the prospect of earning more money. After all, life’s difficult enough as it is during the recession and we need all the cheering up we can get.

So the next time you see the word “bonus” being thrown around in the papers as if it were a dirty word, bear in mind that bonuses are secretly what we all wish for.
