Big Gains No Pains Guides - How to Play Red Dog
Another popular Card Game - Red Dog involves two cards being dealt to you and gives you the chance to bet whether a third card dealt would fall between the value of the other two. (On the right is a view of an average Red Dog Table)
Remember that all cards are counted at their face value and Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13 and Ace = 14.
You now place an Ante and are dealt two cards. If those cards are consecutive e.g. 6 and 7 - you get your money back and can start again. If the two cards are matching, a third cards is drawn and if it also matches, you get an 11:1 Payout on your money, if it doesn't you get your original bet back and can start again.
The game truly starts when the two cards are non-consecutive - for example if you were dealt a 3 and a 9 - the difference in between those two cards is 5 (4,5,6,7,8)this is known as the spread. Now you have the chance to either Raise your original Bet or to Call it so that you may see a third card. The aim here is to get a card that falls in the spread - if it doesn't or if it matches one of the cards on the table - you lose - so remember that when you are betting. A typical Payout Table may look something like this...
This means that if you were to get it in between the number on our example - your payout would be Even. If you had originally Bet £1 - then raised this to £2 - you would receive £4 back - your £2 + an Even Payout of £2 Extra.
